- School Hours - are 7:50-2:45. Students should arrive no earlier than 7:30, unless they are eating breakfast beginning at 7:20.
- Illnesses - If your child is ill in the morning you should call the school at 438-4150 and report the illness. If your child becomes ill during the day they can visit the nurse. Students who are sick may be sent home.
- Student-Parent-Advisor Conferences - are held at the beginning of second quarter & after midterms third quarter. Students are expected to attend.
- Absences- Parent or guardian should notify the main office the day of the absence or by 10:00 p.m. the next day.
- Appointments During School Hours- The parent or guardian must come into the office and sign the student out, then sign them in upon return to school.
- Late To School- Students must check in at the main office before going to class.
- Medication At School- When students take medication on a regular basis, it is their responsibility to go to the nurse at the appropriate time. All medication (including over the counter) must be kept in the nurse's office. Forms are available for medication to be given at school. - Lost Items- Check in the main office for lost items.
- Make-up Work - Students are responsible for asking the teacher before or after school for missing assignments. If the student is absent from school for more than 3 days, the parent may call the office (438-4150) before noon of the 3rd day absent. Homework may be picked up by 3:00 p.m.
- School Closings - While TPS tries to keep school in session at all times, closing due to bad weather will be announced by 6:30 on regular media outlets in Topeka. Click here for more information.
- Evening Activities - for evening activities, such as dances and playnights, students must be passing ALL classes at the most recent grade check to attend.
